User’s Conference 2004 at the Luxor Hotel and
Casino in Las Vegas, a Tremendous Success!
Amidst the stimulating surroundings of Las Vegas the UBS Users were provided a detailed look at the development already done to Paper Master 8.0, the development and enhancements in process and the vision of the future. The changes are and will be significant.
Providing the User with new tools to increase productivity and enhance customer satisfaction in order to differentiate them from their competitors was the overall theme. The focus of development has been ease of accessing data and information by customer, executive management and the sales force; the new "browser" look and feel of Paper Master and ease of communications with suppliers and vendors across the supply chain.
Building upon earlier enhancements, a key component of the current activity has been controls and new features in the General Ledger and Accounts Payable modules. These key components tighten controls over the business process. They provide outstanding features and flexibility in the way the data is viewed and are extremely user-friendly providing excellent access to the transactional level of the components that make up the General Ledger.
The Users were treated to the "future look" of Paper Master. Already introduced in some modules that are available is the browser look of Paper Master. Harnessing the flexibility and utility of the browser presentation, now a familiar component of the Internet, Paper Master Modules will be fully deployed using web services on the Internet and on your company's Intranet. The deployment is still in a secure environment, encrypted and with full password and user access protections.
Enhancements that were shown, grounded in the recurring theme of making better use of electronic commerce to communicate along the supply chain supper highway, will make it even easier and cost effective to employ technologies becoming widely adopted such as XML and Wireless communication.
To quote Users in attendance: "I am really psyched about the things I learned and heard. I know there is much room for improvement and I really look forward to some neat things in the next 12 months…Thanks again for a great conference…"

While everyone enjoyed the "Vegas" atmosphere outside the Conference Room, it was strictly Business during the presentations and the breakout sessions making it a highly productive and enjoyable meeting for all.
