| Universal announced Release 9 at the User Group meeting in Las Vegas. Many more features have been added. Some of the significant enhancements are: |

- Invoice number field has been expanded. This will provide a significant amount of history to be stored.
- The Terms Codes in the customer file has been expanded, enabling up to 99 different types of terms codes.
- The Departments Codes have also been expanded to 9999.
- The customer categories have been expanded to 999.
- The system administration has been enhanced to provide greater flexibility as to how a customer wants to utilize all the features in Paper Master. Enhancements in this area also include more comprehensive tracking of orders and order printing for more audit ability.
- The order header has also has been expanded to track the person who picked the order. See Picker Productivity.
- A new module designed for Picker productivity tracking along with in depth analysis.
- In the accounting area of payables, general ledger and accounts receivable, Paper Master has been enhanced to have extensive drill down capabilities.
- Aging periods can be based on individual customer terms with greater capabilities with trial balance printing options.
- Other areas of concentration are Inventory where RASL (random access stock locations) have been enhanced based on Universal's Warehousing software.
- Pricing and Costing have been expanded with new features in the Last Price look ups.
- Paper Master is now interfaced with UPS World Ship with tracking numbers written back to the invoice.
- Faxing can be set up to attach the POD along with the invoice being sent to the customer.
- Cutting charges have been expanded with multiple tables.
- Credit Card processing has also been added for the point of sale module.
